Frankie Lamar Williams was born in 1985 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and grew up in Lakeland, Florida.  After graduating from George Jenkins High School in 2003, he moved to Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.  For seven years prior to enlisting in the New Jersey State Police, he worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement of Egg Harbor Township.

Trooper Williams enlisted in the New Jersey State Police on January 29, 2016, as a member of the 156th Class and served at the Woodstown and Port Norris Stations in Troop “A.”  His service with the New Jersey State Police was characterized by loyalty, fearless performance of duty, and faithful and honorable devotion to the principles of the New Jersey State Police.

Trooper Williams died as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in the line of duty.

At 6:59 PM on December 5, 2016, Trooper Williams was traveling northbound on Route 55 in Millville, New Jersey responding to calls of an erratic driver operating a red Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 55.  In the area of milepost 22.2 a red Toyota Corolla crossed the center median and struck Trooper Williams patrol car head-on. Trooper Williams was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Trooper Williams served with the New Jersey State Police for ten months.

He was survived by his wife and parents.  He was 31 years old.
