It is with deep sorrow that Colonel Patrick J. Callahan announces the passing of Retired Sergeant Lee Hendrickson #3782. On Friday March 7th, 2025, Ret. Sgt. Hendrickson succumbed to a 9/11 related illness he contracted while serving in the line of duty in response to the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. A dedicated member of the 100th State Police Class, Ret. Sgt. Hendrickson honorably served 25 years in Field Operations and the Marine Services Bureau before his retirement.
Lee enlisted in the New Jersey State Police on March 4, 1983, as a proud member of the 100th. Class, and retired on December 1, 2008, at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Prior to enlisting in the State Police Lee served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Joan, and his children – Juliana Naik and Lindsey Zahn, his two grandchildren and his brother Brian.
