The Division of Air Enforcement, under the direction of Director Richelle Wormley, consists of the following units:

Air Compliance and Enforcement - Engages in a variety of compliance and enforcement activities to ensure compliance with the Air Pollution Control Act and compliance with issued permits.

Diesel Enforcement - Provides enforcement services pertaining to mobile sources - motor vehicles and equipment, with a primary focus on diesel-powered vehicles.

Local Environmental Management - Administers the CEHA (County Environmental Health Agency) grant to New Jersey counties to provide enforcement-related services to the state. Chairs meetings of the Noise Control Council which oversees noise control policy in the state. Allocates money through the The Dry Cleaner Grant Program to dry cleaners who switch to more environmentally-sound cleaning methods. Conducts Minor Sources Compliance Investigations (MSCI).
