The Office of Pollution Prevention supports materials accounting practices throughout the State, helping to reduce the amount and use of potentially harmful substances.

What We Do
The Office of Pollution Prevention performs the following functions and supplies the following services:

• Captures information regarding the use and disposal of hazard substances
• Provides resources that encourage good materials handling practices
• Investigates complaints and notifications of unauthorized activities
• Conducts inspections
• Issues enforcement documents, both formal and informal, which may include assessed penalties
