Self Disclosure
The early discovery and correction of environmental violations reduces the potential risk to human health, safety and the environment. For this reason, in accordance with a Departmental Self-Disclosure Policy, the Department encourages the self-disclosure of violations, and may reduce a penalty by 75 to 100 percent for violations that a regulated entity discovers on its own, discloses in a timely manner to the Department, and corrects. |
