Guidance Document for Waste Classification
If you generate waste and
need assistance in determining whether it's non-hazardous
or hazardous as defined in the New Jersey hazardous
waste regulations at N.J.A.C. 7:26G-1, 3-12 et seq. , this guidance document explains the process of obtaining
a formal waste classification determination from the
Department. Waste classification is a service provided
to the public by the Division of Solid and Hazardous
Waste, Bureau of Landfill and
Hazardous Waste Permitting.

National Compliance Assistance Centers
The Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) has sponsored various partnerships to launch
sector-specific Compliance Assistance Centers (Centers).
Each Center addresses real world issues in language
that speaks to the regulated entities. Existing centers
include: Agriculture, Auto Repair, Chemical, Federal
Facilities, Local Government, Metal Finishing, Paints
and Coatings, Printed Wiring Board, Printing, and
Transportation.

Training Modules
Addresses many of the basic RCRA
waste management issues. Especially
useful is the Hazardous Waste Identification Module.
