Step 1: Find a Training Program
A list of providers approved to provide CHHA training can be found on the Division of Consumer Affairs website at the link here. In the search fields, select “Nursing” for the Profession category, and “HHA Program Approval” for the License Type category to generate a list of approved CHHA training providers. You can also search for programs by city to find training programs specific to your area.
When searching for a training program through the above link check that the License Status of the provider is listed as “Active,” which indicates that they are currently licensed to provide training. When you have identified a training program, visit that provider’s website for more information about enrollment, pricing, and course availability.
You can also visit mycareer.nj.gov to access the NJ Training Explorer, which allows you to search for training programs throughout the state.
