ABOUT THE LAW

In 2021, bill A6012/S1260 amended PL 1963, c150 (Prevailing Wage Act) to require the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development to maintain a statewide database of certified payroll information filed by public works contractors to support the enforcement of fair wage practices in New Jersey.

INFORMATION FOR CONTRACTORS

If the public body operating the public works project you are working on has set up their New Jersey Wage Hub account and is using it to view certified payroll, you meet all your legal obligations by submitting certified payroll within 10 days of the payment of wage on the New Jersey Wage Hub only

If the public body operating your project is not using the New Jersey Wage Hub, you can invite the public body to register with their myNewJersey account in order to access all certified payrolls online. You can also download the submitted form and email or fax the form to them separately.
