Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About NJ Wage Hub
If the public body with which you have contracted to perform public work is registered to use the New Jersey Wage Hub, you may register to use the New Jersey Wage Hub as well, and if the public body agrees, you may submit certified payroll records to the public body through the New Jersey Wage Hub.
If the public body operating your project is not using the New Jersey Wage Hub, you can invite the public body to register with their Employer Access (TWES)-enabled myNewJersey account in order to access all certified payrolls online. You can also download the submitted form and email or fax the form to them separately.

For any work which requires the submission of certified payrolls, those payrolls may be submitted through NJ Wage Hub.
Please be advised that if purchase orders are in any way connected (covered by a ‘blanket’ agreement, subject to an agreement to bill the public body at a certain rate, paid by the public body on the same check, etc.), or if it appears that work is being divided into separate purchase orders for the purpose of evading prevailing wage applicability, the purchase orders would be viewed collectively, in reference to the prevailing wage threshold, and would be viewed as part of a single project, in reference to the certified payroll database.
Use of NJ Wage Hub for submission of certified payrolls will be mandatory beginning August 15, 2024. It is recommended that contractors begin using it as soon as possible.
Please note that if the public body is not using the NJ Wage Hub, you will also be required to submit certified payrolls to the public body as well.
If prior certified payrolls were provided directly to the public body, they do not need to be submitted to NJ Wage Hub.
Submission of certified payrolls to NJ Wage Hub will satisfy the requirement to submit them to the public body, if the public body is also using the NJ Wage Hub.
Currently, we can accept the certified payroll form in 4 different formats:
- Enter the information manually in the form in the application
- Duplicate & edit a previous week's submission
- Upload an MW-562 filled out here
- Use the CSV template we provide
There is more information about all of these options in our user guide for contractors.
It is not possible to delete certified payroll that has been submitted. If you wish to make a correction, please submit a new certified payroll with the same week ending date.
