28th Annual Advanced Homicide Investigation Conference

The New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Homicide Investigator’s Association cordially invite you to participate in our 28th Annual Advanced Homicide Investigation Conference. The conference will be held on the grounds of Princeton University from June 12-16, 2023. Please see attached information and contact HomicideConference@njsp.gov for any further information.

The conference is designed to meet the needs of investigators and supervisors tasked with the investigation of homicides, suicides and unnatural deaths. Topics of discussion include; Interview and Interrogation, Behavioral Analysis, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Crime Scene Reconstruction, Advancements in Digital Evidence, Forensic Pathology, as well as major cases studies.

All attendees will receive reference materials, writings and information supplied by the speakers. In addition, attendees will have ample opportunity to discuss their own cases with investigators and subject matter experts from across the United States. We have designed the conference to provide social activities which facilitate networking and small group discussions between the attendees.

We sincerely hope a representative from your agency can join us in Princeton this year for a conference that will be educational, practical and a pleasure to attend.


Conference Date: June 12th - 16th, 2023

Registration will be from 6:00pm-9:00pm on June 11, 2023, at the Hyatt Place, Princeton located at 3565 US 1, Princeton, NJ and from 8:00am-8:30am at the Frist Center located at Princeton University.


Conference Tuition

The conference tuition is $675, and includes the conference course materials, a well-stocked continental breakfast, morning coffee and afternoon snack are also included. In addition, tuition includes a formal banquet as well as additional social activities.
