Community Outreach

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) holds various meetings during the different phases of a construction project. NJDOT is committed to developing transportation improvements that best balance the transportation needs, the environment, community concerns and costs.

An outreach program was developed for the Route 3, Route 46, Valley Road and Notch/Rifle Camp Road Interchange Improvements Project to include local officials and the public in the transportation improvement development process.

Community outreach strategies include:

  • Local Officials Briefings
  • Public Information Center meetings
  • Project specific Web site
  • NJDOT announcements and mailings
