NJ Pathways Business Forum to Help Business Owners Navigate Public and Private Procurement
Landmark Event Hosted by NJ Department of the Treasury and NJ Business Action Center
(TRENTON) – Registration is open for the NJ Pathways Business Forum, a landmark event, which will be held Friday, June 13th at Rutgers University – New Brunswick, hosted by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury and New Jersey Business Action Center.
The NJ Pathways Business Forum is for business owners seeking to better understand how to navigate public and private procurement processes, receive support in registering or certifying their enterprise with the State, and get personalized advice from experts to build their business.
Business owners will be able to connect directly with federal, State, and private organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration, University Hospital, New Jersey Department of Transportation, NJ Transit, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, NJ Department of Environmental Protection, NJ Economic Development Authority, South Jersey Industries, PSE&G, Turner Construction Company, and SHI, a previously certified small business enterprise that has grown while working with the State.
The event will also feature coordinated matchmaking sessions to help identify needs and pair government and private sector agencies with participating businesses well-suited to meet these demands. Treasury officials partnered with Rutgers University’s Business School to customize relevant contract opportunities available for business owners attending the event. Treasury’s subject matter experts will be onsite to offer technical support for obtaining business registrations and certifications. The event will also feature workshops throughout the day, including sessions on understanding procurement processes, capital resources, and public and private procurement opportunities.
This free event is designed to support businesses historically excluded from economic opportunity. It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with breakfast and business registration beginning at 8 a.m.
Members of the press who would like to attend, please RSVP to Department of the Treasury Public Information Officer, Jeremy Lemmon, at jeremy.lemmon@treas.nj.gov by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
