NJDOT Commissioner's Office
to pick up litter on Route 29

MEDIA ADVISORY

NJDOT Commissioner John J. Haley, Jr., and members of his staff will pick up litter on Route 29 on Thursday, June 5, 1997, beginning at 2:30 PM.

This effort is part of NJDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program. The Commissioner’s Office adopted a section of Route 29 between Sullivan Way and Lower Ferry Road in Ewing Township in 1992 and have held yearly pick-ups.

The Adopt-A-Highway program currently has 650 volunteer groups participating, with 876 of the state’s 2,400 highway miles adopted.

Commissioner Haley will be available to discuss the NJDOT’s litter control efforts on state highways.
