Jr. on the Morgan Boulevard Bridge in Camden
"Recent news accounts reported that City fire officials were concerned that weight restrictions on the Morgan Boulevard bridge could hamper emergency response by City fire crews. Upon learning of this, I directed the Department’s bridge engineers to inspect the bridge and determine what could be done to address this situation.
"Our inspection has determined that the bridge can safely support every fire truck in the City’s inventory, except for the largest hook and ladder truck, and we have advised City officials that fire crews can use the bridge in the event of a fire. Residents can rest assured that response time will not be hampered."
