NJDOT announces ramp closures on Route 295

(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced intermittent nighttime ramp closures over a period of three weeks to accommodate the ongoing Route 295 resurfacing project in Camden and Gloucester counties.

Starting Monday, March 29, NJDOT will begin a series of weeknight closures affecting four ramps between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Each of the ramps will be closed for no more than two or three nights. Detour routes will be posted.

  • Route 168 southbound to I-295 northbound
    Motorists will be detoured to Gloucester Pike (CR 659) to Route 30 westbound to Copley Road to I-295 northbound entrance ramp.
  • Copley Road to I-295 northbound
    Motorists will be detoured to the I-295 southbound ramp to the exit for Route 168 (Black Horse Pike) southbound to the entrance ramp for I-295 northbound.
  • Warwick Road to I-295 northbound
    Motorists will be detoured to Oak Avenue (CR 668) to the Woodcrest Station interchange to the entrance ramp to I-295 northbound.
  • I-295 northbound exit to Woodcrest Station
    Motorists will be detoured to exit for Haddonfield-Berlin Road (CR 561) to Burnt Mill Road to Woodcrest Road.

NJDOT is rehabilitating I-295 in Barrington, Bellmawr, Cherry Hill, Haddon Heights, Haddonfield, Lawnside and Tavistock in Camden County and West Deptford and Westville in Gloucester County. The project also includes replacing five I-295 bridge decks. Construction is scheduled for completion in summer 2012.
