Beginning at 7 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, until 7 p.m., Thursday, August 30, the two-way traffic on South Broad Street is scheduled to be closed at the railroad crossing at Helms Cove Lane. The existing railroad crossing will be removed and replaced with a new concrete crossing and asphalt approach

The following detours will be in place:

South Broad Street westbound
Motorists traveling westbound on South Broad Street will be directed to turn right onto Church Street, left onto State Street, left onto West Maple Avenue and back to South Broad Street.

The traffic detours will be coordinated with the local police. The roadway will be reopened if work is completed earlier.
