Hillsdale Avenue to be closed and detoured for railroad-crossing repairs in Hillsdale, Bergen County
Necessary safety work will require detours
(Trenton) - New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced today that Hillsdale Avenue will be closed and detoured for a to install a new concrete Railroad crossing with asphalt approaches in Hillsdale, Bergen County.
Beginning at 7 a.m., tomorrow Wednesday, July 24, until 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, Hillsdale Avenue will be closed and detoured in both directions at the railroad crossing. The following detours will be in place:
Hillsdale Avenue eastbound detour
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Hillsdale Avenue will be directed to turn left onto Patterson Street.
- Turn right onto Orchard Street.
- Turn right onto Broadway Avenue.
- Turn left onto Hillsdale Avenue.
Hillsdale Avenue westbound detour
- Motorists traveling westbound on Hillsdale Avenue will be directed to turn left onto Broadway.
- Turn right onto Washington Avenue, which becomes Patterson Street.
- Turn left onto Hillsdale Avenue.
Last week the railroad crossing at Parkview Drive was reconstructed.
The traffic detours will be coordinated with the local police. If work is completed earlier, the roadway will be reopened accordingly.
