Data from the 2000 Census regarding household income is not available at this time. As a result, 1990 Census Data were used for this preliminary environmental justice assessment. The low-income population in these census tracts ranges from 0 percent to 12.4 percent. The data reveals that the study area includes two census tracts where the percentage of low-income individuals in 1990 was greater than the percentage exhibited by the community as a whole: Census Tract 6052, Block Group 2 in Gloucester City (7.5 percent below poverty level) and Census Tract 6054, Block Group 3 in Mt. Ephraim (13.1 percent below poverty level).
