New Aetna Medicare Plan ID Cards for 2022

Aetna is in the process of issuing new ID cards to members of the SHBP and SEHBP Medicare Advantage Plans. Mailing is in progress; however, there have been some delays in the distribution of the new ID cards and some Aetna members may receive their cards after the January 1, 2022, effective date.

For Aetna Medicare HMO members, the member ID number is not changing and you may continue to use your current Aetna ID card until your new card arrives.

Aetna Medicare PPO members are being assigned a new ID number for 2022. If you have not received your new ID card and have medical care scheduled early in January of 2022; contact Aetna for instructions on how to access your new member ID.

Aetna member services are available Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET.

If you have no immediate medical care scheduled, no action is needed; however, if you have not received your new ID card by January 7th please contact Aetna member services at the appropriate number above.
