Action Plan Amendment #48 Public Comment Period Now Closed

The public comment period for Action Plan Amendment #48 closed at 5 p.m. on September 28, 2022.

Action Plan Amendment #48 details the State’s proposal to reallocate $52.6 million in Superstorm Sandy Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. These funds would be reallocated to assist with Hurricane Ida recovery in counties that were determined by the federal government to be most impacted both in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Ida. The overlapping counties are Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Passaic, and Union counties.

The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is now reviewing all public comments provided during the 30-day public comment period. Per federal guidelines, DCA will synthesize the public comments and then include written responses to those comments as part of the final Action Plan Amendment #48 submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for review and approval.
