	Overview

On February 17, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This legislation provides over $1 billion for
New Jersey's transportation infrastructure. It will stimulate New Jersey's economy by creating or supporting thousands of
transportation-related jobs and making long-term improvements to our roads, bridges and transit system.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is expected to provide approximately $652 million for New Jersey’s
state (pdf 88k) and local highway and
bridge infrastructure projects and approximately $425 million for
	New Jersey’s transit projects
	(pdf 57k).
