This is I-295 Northbound before Route 561. All lanes have been reopened in this section of the project. The contractor is scheduled to pave the final course of asphalt in Summer 2004.

Getting ready for a concrete pour, this is the form work and reinforcing steel of the center pier on I-295 Southbound over Route 70 (Eastbound on left, Westbound on right).

The bridge demolition at I-295 Northbound over Route 70 is in the final stage of construction. The right lane and outside shoulder of this structure will be reconstructed in Spring 2004.

The excavator is removing the existing left lane of I-295 Northbound in the vicinity of Route 73. The existing roadway will be completely removed and reconstructed in this section of the project.

Construction in this section of the project, I-295 Southbound between Route 73 and 38, entails building a new inside shoulder and overlaying the existing road with asphalt.
