Community OutreachThe New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has held meetings with officials and residents of the area about this project for more than a decade, and will continue community outreach meetings throughout the project. As part of this commitment to the local and regional communities, NJDOT held Public Information Centers (PIC) in Highlands, Sea Bright and National Park Service (NPS) Gateway Recreation Area - Sandy Hook.
The Community Partnering Team (CPT), which was created in 2001, includes a Steering Committee, municipal, organizational and agency members, invited guests, task forces, and NJDOT staff.
