Medical Cannabis

The Jake Honig Compassionate Use Medical Cannabis Act provides the framework for the medicinal use of cannabis in New Jersey.

Under the Jake Honig Compassionate Use Medical Cannabis Act , New Jersey's Medicinal Cannabis Program (previously the Medicinal Marijuana Program) helps registered patients under the care of licensed medicinal practitioners safely access cannabis-based medicine from regulated and monitored facilities.

The Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) was created to establish rules and regulations governing the sale and purchase of recreational cannabis, to administer New Jersey's medicinal cannabis program, and to oversee licensing for all areas of the cannabis industry.

Medical cannabis is no longer subject to Sales Tax in New Jersey as of July, 1 2022.
