The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) has launched a one-year pilot program to fund the training of unemployed and employed low-income individuals below the ALICE guidelines. The Fund My Future pilot program was launched as a result of the State of New Jersey’s Future of Work Task Force. Fund My Future is based on the concept of a Lifelong Learning Account (LiLA) – funds used by an individual to advance their training and career goals. |
Preparing and empowering New Jersey job seekers in today’s labor market: In this pilot program, qualifying residents can receive funding for training and supportive services that may be necessary to complete their education and training programs. Participants will collaborate with their assigned career coach to develop and Individual Employment Plan (IEP). The main goal of this Notice of Grant Opportunity is to promote equality of opportunity, upward mobility, and economic fairness.
