- Your card will be deactivated on August 26, 2022.

If you haven’t applied for Unemployment, Temporary Disability, or Family Leave Insurance benefits before – or if you got a Bank of a America prepaid debit card for your last claim – we will mail you a new Money Network/My Banking Direct debit card within 10 days after we review your application. The card will arrive before you find out if your application was approved, so no funds will be available. Benefit payments are only issued to the debit card account if your claim is approved.
BANK OF AMERICA PREPAID DEBIT CARD HOLDERS: After May 18, 2022, no new funds will be added to current Bank of America prepaid debit cards. If you still have funds on a Bank of America prepaid debit card from a prior claim, log in to your Bank of America prepaid card account by September 26, 2022 and transfer those funds to your own checking or savings bank account.
The prepaid debit cards we issue are valid for three years. If you choose to have your unemployment benfits issued on a prepaid debit card, don't throw it away after you stop receiving benefits. We can issue benefits for future claims - for unemployment, temporary disability, or family leave insurance - on this same card.
Once a payment is posted, funds should be available on your debit card within two business days of the payment date.
Your debit card is sent via regular mail in a plain, unmarked envelope with an Omaha, NE return address. It might even look like junk mail. Make sure you check all your mail carefully so you don’t discard it by mistake.
Your name appears on the card because the debit card is issued to you and is linked to your Social Security number and date of birth with Money Network/My Banking Direct, a service of New York Community Bank.
You can access your money for purchases and withdrawals 24 hours a day. Keep in mind, benefits will be available on your card two business days after each payment date, at 9AM.
