Business Reinstatements

The unit reviews and investigates business and income tax cases to collect unpaid taxes and identify fraudulent activity. These highly trained investigators analyze information to ensure tax filings are valid, and manage activities such as:

Investigating taxpayer identity theft;
Reinstating voided or revoked businesses;
Identifying and pursuing companies that fail to file tax returns.

The unit also refers cases of nonpayment to the Division's Office of Criminal Investigation for potential prosecution.
