Returning an ANCHOR Benefit Check

We encourage anyone who mistakenly receives a benefit check to return the check to the New Jersey Division of Taxation, PO BOX 266, Trenton, NJ 08695-0266.

Major Upgrades to the NJ Tax-Filing System

We are modernizing our tax-filing system through a multi-phased approach. Phase 1 tax filing and payment systems will be temporarily shut down during the upgrade.

Property Tax Relief

New in 2025 — Single Combined Application: We have made it easier for seniors and those receiving Social Security Disability in New Jersey to apply for Property Tax Relief with a new, simplified process.

Direct File NJ

Starting this season, qualified New Jersey residents are eligible to file their taxes online directly with the government, absolutely free.

2024 New Jersey Income Tax Refunds

We began issuing 2024 Income Tax refunds.

Paper checks are issued from the "Property Tax Relief Fund" and direct deposits are made as "State of N.J. NJSTTAXRFD."
