RMP Conformance is defined in the Highlands Council's adopted Plan Conformance Procedures. A conforming municipality has an approved petition for plan conformance and has adopted or amended a land development ordinance that is consistent with the Highlands Act and Regional Master Plan (RMP). For a county government to be considered conforming, it must have an approved petition for plan conformance and have adopted revisions/amendments to county planning documents and regulations that incorporate provisions of the RMP where the county has jurisdiction to do so.
Conformance status is indicated on the chart below as follows:
3 - Fully conforming, whole municipality
2 - Conforming, Preservation Area only
1 - Not conforming
